1. Privacy at a glance
QuietList does not require an account. Tasks, routines, preferences, Plus status, restore information, and local backup information are stored on your browser or device. Your tasks and routines are not sent to Meta van Saus unless you use the optional QuietList Plus Cloud Backup feature.
The current QuietList code does not include advertising, analytics, or behaviour-tracking services.
2. Local data
QuietList stores the information needed to run the app in local device or browser storage. This includes tasks and their dates, completion state, recurrence and reminder details; routines and their items; theme settings; QuietList Plus status and restore code; a cloud-backup device identifier and access token; and the time of the latest successful cloud backup.
Local Export creates a backup file on your device. Local Import reads the file you choose and replaces local task data. These local Export and Import actions do not send the file to QuietList's servers.
3. QuietList Plus purchases
QuietList Plus is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Checkout and payment processing are provided by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Paddle processes the payment and buyer information needed for the order under its own privacy notice.
To confirm and restore a Plus purchase, QuietList's server stores technical entitlement records: a Paddle transaction identifier and price identifier, a hashed purchase nonce, entitlement status and timestamps, a hashed restore code, and an encrypted copy of newly issued restore codes. QuietList does not store your payment-card details.
4. Cloud Backup and Cloud Restore
Cloud Backup is optional and only runs for an authorised QuietList Plus entitlement. When it runs, QuietList sends a snapshot containing your tasks, routines, and backup metadata to QuietList's server. The latest snapshot is stored for the entitlement connected to your restore code.
QuietList also stores a device identifier, a hashed device access token, token and activity timestamps, app and backup version information, and timestamps used to protect the backup from stale or conflicting updates. Cloud Restore downloads that snapshot only after you explicitly request it and applies it only after confirmation.
5. Reminders
On supported Android devices, reminders are scheduled as local device notifications. QuietList does not send task reminder content to its server for notification delivery.
6. Service providers
QuietList uses Paddle for checkout and payment processing, Vercel to host the website and server functions, and Neon Postgres to store Plus entitlement and optional cloud-backup records. These providers may process technical request information as part of operating their services.
7. Your choices
You can use the free app without buying Plus or using Cloud Backup. You can export your local tasks and clear local tasks from the app. Clearing browser or app storage removes data stored locally on that device, including locally cached Plus access and restore information.
The current app has no user account and no automated control for deleting a cloud backup. Keep your restore code private because it is used to validate Plus access and obtain a device token for the cloud backup belonging to that entitlement.
8. Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated if QuietList's data handling changes. The current version will remain available on this page.
